Super rare Atari game sell for over 5k

Recently news broke about a rare Atari game selling for over 5k, actually $5,250 to be exact.  So what game made in the 80′s could be worth over 5k?  Well it was a game that was only sold in religious stores, and that game is called ‘The Music Machine’.

Over 2,000 pinball players made a pilgrimage to a small town outside Pittsburgh, PA. this August for the 4 day event of the Pinball World Championships.
If it weren’t for all the cars outside, you would never even think something this cool was happening inside the giant 30,000 sq. ft. warehouse building.
A lot of great players and machines were at the event and you can read all about it and check out some photos in a visual tour at Crispy Gamer.

If you have an iPhone then you can take your Arcade games with you wherever you go.  It actually looks really good, and controls seem pretty good too,  well at least as good as it can play on a phone.  Check out this video of the Simpsons arcade game being run on an iPhone 3Gs.

Is the ultimate arcade at the Strong National Museum of Play, in Rochester NY.  Videotopia is an exhibit that will run until November 1, 2009.
There are so many cool titles to check out at the exhibit, and if I was in driving distance I would be there in a heartbeat .  There are over 100 fully restored games waiting to be played.
The National center for the History of Electronic Games is located at the Strong Museum, and is hoping to get a permanent exhibit in 2012.
